We track our on-time delivery performance on every order to ensure we're meeting the needs of our customers no matter where they are.

Our delivery service starts with our trained sales and warehouse associates who pull your orders quickly and accurately according to your specifications. Then our uniformed drivers ensure a safe and timely delivery direct to your jobsite – as often as your project requires.

Proof of Delivery

Product isn't the only thing Summit delivers quickly and reliably. We scan delivery receipts into our system and immediately make proofs of delivery (POD) available to you. We also include the cropped delivery signature on the lower left of Summit's original invoice, which improves invoice processing.

Using Summit's online services , you can view and download proof of delivery documents and invoices with POD signatures directly from Summit.com. You can also request to receive emailed invoices and proofs of delivery according to a schedule you prefer.

You can reduce your inventory expenses and still have all the materials you need when you need them. With a just-in-time (JIT) service contract, Summit will manage your inventory requirements so you can focus on what you do best.

As your sole supplier, we'll not only stock your supply list for you, but also deliver all of your required jobsite materials within 24 hours. You'll save on inventory storage and transportation costs while decreasing inventory surplus and waste. Even costly job delays will be a problem of the past.

Contingency Plans and Disaster Recovery

We are prepared for the unexpected. To safeguard inventory during adverse situations, Summit has a number of contingency plans that keep business operational.

Natural Disaster

Key systems along with support from our network of service centers and manufacturers will help maintain Summit's operations following a natural disaster. Depending upon the scope and scale, Summit associates can immediately put salvage or damage control operations into action. If computer capacity is lost, we'll bring in back-up tapes from our off-site storage area then establish a telephone link to provide for prompt reopening of our affected service center.

Stockout

If we're out of stock on a material, your local service center can locate and purchase the material from another Summit location, the manufacturer, or another distributor.

Manufacturer Strike

Manufacturers generally warn distributors of possible strikes in advance, allowing us time to order larger-than-usual quantities if strike rumors show signs of being realized.

Summit's efficiency at wire and cable management helps you reduce costs. Using our reliable SAP system, we're able to track the length of materials on each reel or batch so we scrap less than 1/2 of 1% of wire and cable.

We start by buying all cable up front based on your cable schedule, ordering master reels according to combined totals of individual, like circuits. Each time an order is entered, our system designates the best reel or batch to use in filling your order, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

We'll keep your critical cable runs in stock to eliminate lead time issues, and you'll only pay for the wire and cable you receive for use. Our wire and cable management system also allows us to track your individual circuits down to the specific project installation.
